Here's my next pattern for the a to z of flowers challenge. B is for cute little Billy Buttons (Craspedia). My designs are now available on homewares and artprints over on Bespo. There's not much there at the moment so please keep popping back as I'll be adding more soon.

Introducing Winter Berries

I'm loving grey at the moment, it goes with so many different colours but I'm particularly liking it with coral.

A is for Agapanthus

I recently stumbled upon Pattern & Co's A to Z of flowers project and thought I'd give it a bash. Flowers are one of my favourite things to draw and hopefully will keep me motivated to create more new designs, try new techniques and play with new colour schemes.

Introducing Garland

I've got a few new wedding stationery designs to introduce and thought it would be fun to create an inspirational mood board for each. Garland invitation shown above in Pantone's colour of the year Emerald Green paired with Midnight Blue.

New wedding invitation designs

I'm really pleased to say my new wedding invitation designs are now available on my website. Over the next few weeks I'll introduce each design here on my blog. There's twelve designs in total which include four of my most popular alongside eight brand spanking new ones. You can take a peek at them here.

The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design

I'm now a proud graduate of 'The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design' run by Beth Nicholls and Rachael Taylor. I've still got lots to catch up on and loads of information to absorb but have learnt so much over the three modules and enjoyed every moment. One of the best things to come from the course is the network of fellow students. We've come from all over the world to share our love of pattern design and everyone has been really supportive. For anyone thinking of signing up to the course, I highly recommend that you just go for it.

I first signed up for the course to gain more experience in pattern design for my wedding stationery, I now have dreams of seeing my patterns on textiles and homewares as well as stationery, and feel when the time is right I have been given the knowledge and confidence to make this happen.

But first things first! I've been concentrating on new designs for wedding stationery featuring some of my new patterns. They'll be launched next month and I'll be sharing some images on my blog soon. In the mean time here's a selection of patterns I've created whilst on the course.

Happy new year

Happy new year! Well the children are back in school after having a lovely Christmas break which means I can get back to working regular hours. The only thing about having a break from work is that I have more time to think up new ideas and give myself even more work to do. I'm currently in the middle of designing a new collection of wedding stationery ready for spring, I'm refreshing the look of my website and continuing my journey of surface pattern design with the final module starting next week. I've learnt so much on this course and met so many inspiring designers. Here's a peek at some designs from my latest 'winter berries' collection.
