This week I've mainly been...

...making notebooks. I've been printing covers, counting sheets of paper, cutting the paper and card to size, drilling holes, binding with ribbon, trimming the pages, printing and cutting the tags, paper punching the hole and then threading on to the ribbon and finally tying in a bow and packaging in a cello sleeve. These little tinkers are so time consuming I often wonder if they're worth my while making. I do love them though and the feedback I get about them is always so lovely, here's a few to remind me why I make them:

gorgeous. just right for popping in my handbag. beautifully packaged.

Another lovely notebook, perfect as a stocking filler. The seller was helpful, and the parcel arrived beautifully wrapped.

Absolutely beautiful notebook - bought for a secret santa present for someone who cited 'list making' as a hobby... it's going to take huge self control to parcel it up and not keep it for myself! Thank you so much :)

Beautiful notebooks, packaged so nicely that I didn't want to open them.

I still haven't any listed in my Folksy shop after selling out over Christmas, the huge batch I've been making is for a trade order but will hopefully have a few extras to list soon.

Making magazine

Having waited over a week for Making magazine to land on my doorstep, I couldn't wait any longer and purchased a copy from the newsagents yesterday (I bet my freebie will turn up tomorrow!). It took me two lots of flicking through before I found my personalised teacher notecards on page 11. They're featured on the 'crafty buys' page, for sophisticated pieces for the study. What a great magazine it is too. Full of crafty makes and inspiration.
