Christmas 2011

Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas. I've had a great one, enjoying time with family and friends, eating, playing and watching Christmas TV - perfect. Here's a teeny snapshot of my Christmas.

I'd like to say a big thanks to all my customers, blog/twitter/facebook followers and everyone else who has supported me throughout the year. I am so appreciative of all the motivation you've given me through sales and supportive comments. THANK YOU X

See you in 2012!

Perfect packaging {Christmas wrap}

I'm feeling a little smug at the moment as all my wrapping is done and sitting under the tree. I know it's pretty close to Christmas and is probably quite normal to be finished, but this never happens as I'm quite a last minute person and am normally still Christmas shopping around about now.

I looked on Pinterest for some gift wrap inspiration and found loads. Here's some of my favourites.

As seen on notonthehighstreet

I've just seen an email from notonthehighstreet.com which reminded me I'd not shared my news here on my blog. My snowflake notecards have been used as a prop to promote the notonthehighstreet.com gift vouchers. How cool is that! So far they've been featured on the back page of their most recent mailer, which is also available online, on the homepage of the website and on the email that went out today. Just a shame I've had to close my shop for Christmas - oh well.

All things paper - Christmas paper chains

Can't believe how close Christmas is getting. I feel like I'm way behind, still so much to do - presents to buy and wrap, cards to write. At least the decorations are up though so thought I'd share some pretty paper chains that I've pinned over on Pinterest.

Christmas cards

I've got a bit of a thing for lined envelopes, it's a bit like having a nice lining in a jacket - not everyone gets to see it but you know it's there and it just makes it that bit more special and lovely. So for a little bit of special I've teamed my Robins Christmas cards with matching candy striped lined envelopes. Available in my notonthehighstreet.com shop.

New logo

I've finally got round to redesigning my logo to what I think is a cleaner and more elegant take on what I had originally which you can see in this blog post and represents my design style a little more. I've lived with it fore a few days and still love it so it's a keeper (until I get bored of it again), hope you like it too.

Real weddings - Ninka and Paul

I was lucky enough to be asked to create Ninka and Paul's wedding stationery for their summer wedding. It was a bit of collaboration, I created the stationery around the cute bride and groom that was drawn by one of Ninka's friends. Ninka and Paul got married at the beautiful St. Wilfred Church in Mobberley on a perfect sunny day at the beginning of June this year. The day was captured by the very talented photographers over at CG Weddings.

Wedding stationery colour palette

After a mad-crazy summer of wedding stationery orders (which I'll share on my blog soon) things have slowed right down here and allowed me to play around the things I never get chance to do, like this colour palette. I can spend hours (days!) playing around with colour combinations and finding just the right shade, so have come up with a palette of favourites. I can see endless colour combinations and hope it will give bride's-to be colour inspiration.

Thank you tags

Today is the last day of the summer term in my children's school. It seems like an end of an era as Fin will be starting juniors and Ruby will start full time school come September. I'm feeling a little sad about it, everybody says how quick children grow up but I never thought it would go as quick as it has! Anyway, we gave the teachers and teaching assistants a little present each to say thank you and I adorned the little glass jar candles with a thank you tag that the children wrote on the back of - all nine of them! I thought I'd share them as I think they would make lovely favour tags for a wedding or party.

Last week I had a few orders for these spotty poster invitations. I've worked like crazy to get them all done and feel so much better after sending last two orders off today.

I think the popularity came from them being on the forty favourites over on notonthehighstreet.com

I also had some requests for a blue version for the boys, so here it is and available in my notonthehighstreet.com shop now.

Mumpreneur website award

My website has been given an award by Mumpreneur! To earn the award the website is scored on design, navigation, ease of use, content and overall presentation. I'm chuffed to bits that my little old website has earned the gold award.
